Pasar Jaya, a company owned by the Jakarta city government, incurred huge losses from its collaboration with PT Priamanaya Djan International, over the management of Block A of Tanah Abang Market in Central Jakarta. The company owned by businessman Djan Faridz— now Public Housing Minister—is charged with manipulating the agreement to ensure its continuing control over Southeast Asia’s largest textile market.
