THE Corruption Eradication Commission has finally acted on what the public has been hoping for a long time. Last week, 23 members of the House of Representatives (DPR) charged with accepting bribes in the form of traveler’s checks were arrested and detained. The checks were to buy their votes in the selection of Miranda Gultom as senior deputy governor of Bank Indonesia in 2004.
