DURING its period of special supervision, Bank CIC carried out several types of engineering. The central bank, Bank Indonesia, did not follow up on the results of this fi nding. The bank should in fact have been closed down at the end of 2002. Strangely enough, Bank Indonesia allowed CIC to be merged with Bank Danpac and Bank Pikko, to become Bank Century in 2004.
