THE KPK charged Hadi Poernomo, the newly retired chairman of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) with corruption and abuse of authority, on his last day of work. He is accused of writing an offi cial note back in 2004 when he was tax director-general of the Finance Ministry, exempting Bank Central Asia (BCA), the country’s largest private bank from paying Rp1.9 trillion in taxes.
