Hendra Rahardja left behind a mountain of debts. Sentenced to life imprisonment in absentia, he died owing the state Rpl.9 trillion. But, only Rpl3 billion has been recovered from the sale of his assets, while his family members and relatives remain unseen. It is believed that most of his wealth is stashed away in Australia, China and Hong Kong.
