THE State Intelligence Agency's coordinator for the eradication of counterfeit money, Brig. Gen. (ret) Zyaeri, has been detained by police, accused of being behind a counterfeiting network. In a statement to police, Zyaeri reportedly admitted to producing counterfeit currency to use as bait to trap counterfeiters at large. Ironically, however, it could be a case of "a hunter of criminals becoming a criminal" himself. Is it an open-and-shut case, or is there more here than meets the eye?
