THE ASSASSINATION of PT Asaba President Director, Boedyharto Angsono, and his bodyguard Edi Siyet, a member of the Kopassus Special Forces, is still a mystery. It seems that the executions were premeditated, and linked to the June 6 attempted murder of Paulus Tedjakusuma, Financial Director of Asaba. Suspicion has fallen on Gunawan Santoso, Boedyharto's son-in-law. He was once convicted for corruption in Asaba, was jailed but managed to escape. Paulus, the first victim, was the one who uncovered Gunawan's misdeeds. Was it purely a case of revenge?
