THE growth of new innovations in Indonesia to understanding Islamic teachings is a positive and welcome development. There is nothing wrong with this, even if some of the methods give the impression of offering a shortcut or being packaged in an attractive way. However, these Islamic teachers should be warned not to be excessive in commercializing religion.
