BI-DPR SCANDAL: Changing Faces of Corruption
THE mystery of travelers checks given to members of the House of Representatives’ (DPR) Banking Commission in mid-2004 is coming to light. The checks were distributed directly following the election of Miranda Goeltom as Bank Indonesia Senior Deputy Governor. The money totaling over Rp20 billion is suspected to have come from Bank Artha Graha Internasional Tbk. Nine DPR members cashed the checks themselves. Tempo investigates the course of the money distribution and the DPR members who cashed them.
