DEMOCRAT Party Treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin is suspected of attempting to bribe Constitutional Court Secretary-General Janedjri M. Gaffar. His position at the House of Representatives has become shaky, because he is also being charged with yet another bribery scandal involving a project to construct an athletes’ dormitory for the SEA Games in Palembang. But he is resisting pressure from his party to resign. He is launching a counteroffensive, targeting Democrat Party elites. He also intends to sow the seeds of discord at the Constitutional Court.
