JAKARTA Governor Joko Widodo—popularly known as Jokowi—is assiduously being persuaded by PDI-P politicians to run for the presidency in 2014. After all, almost all polls show him to be the front runner to replace SBY. He is cited as the only one—if he decides to run to be able to beat Gerindra party nominee, Prabowo Subianto. So far, Jokowi has said nothing about joining the race. And even if his fellow PDI-P members keep urging him on, the final green light will have to come from the supreme party leader: Megawati Soekarnoputri.
