It was not easy for PDI-P Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri to decide on Jusuf Kalla as Joko Widodo’s vice-presidential candidate. Proposals and pressure poured in from various political walks of life. No less than the chairman of the once-mighty Golkar Party, Aburizal Bakrie came courting, only to be ruthlessly rejected, when he offered himself for the job.
