SUTAN Bhatoegana, a top Democrat Party legislator, is suspected of involvement in a corruption case linked to the Energy Ministry’s solar home system project. He was implicated by Ridwan Sanjaya, who has been indicted by the KPK for bribery in the case. Sutan, a member of the House Energy Commission, reportedly demanded money from yet another suspect in the case, Jacobus Purwono, a former director-general for electricity and energy. The Rp 526 billion project may involve others besides legislators and government officials—like law enforcers.
